Writers' and Artists’ Yearbook 2006

The book proclaims it all, ‘Much better than luck’, and I would
agree.
A successful career as a writer/artist is difficult at best,
and when you are dealing with an international marketplace, the internet can
be a sticky quagmire. That’s where this book comes in.
Although aimed primarily at the UK market, there are many international
listings as well too. Broken down into categories like Newspapers, books,
listings, poetry, TV, Film, radio, theatre, agents, art and illustration,
societies, writers online, and an excellent resource section, it covers the
full gamut of questions that arise.
Do I incorporate? What can I deduct? Do I syndicate my work?
Who do I write to?
As a largely full time writer, this book has already paid for
itself with advice, and some new markets to tap. Writing is tough enough without
a guide! Terry Pratchett, J K Rowling, Mark Billingham and Maggie Gee provide
expert advice, almost free of charge!

I remain,
Almost fully gainfully employed.
