The DVD package proclaims ‘Fun and imaginative’. And I would have to agree. "Robots" is a fantastic, family adventure that every member can enjoy. From sly (and not so vague) references to classic films and characters, Robin Williams, Drew Carey, Ewan McGregor, Halle Berry, Greg Kinnear, Amanda Bynes, and Mel Brooks do a masterful voicing job. Rodney, the son of a creaky robot dish washer, heads to the big city to find his dream. When he arrives in Rivetown, he finds a home in Aunt Fanny’s.

 

As a young mechanoid, his dream of inventing led him to tinker. His hero, Mr Bigweld, inspired him and a visit to Bigweld yields a surprise brush off. What has happened to Mr Bigweld? Why is there no revolution or great outcry? With upgrades the current rage, parts become hard to find, and Rodney is the master of Repair. But, deep within Bigweld, Rodney’s activities are not welcome.

Too much information will ruin the film for you.

Suffice to say, there’s power in numbers and innovation needs inspiration.

Rodney and his friends find out exactly what makes the world go around.... This film rocks, and is geared for the kid in all of us.

For the techno geek, the special features include "Don’t Get Left Behind", deleted scenes, meet the bots, original tests, xbox game, and a DVD rom .
