This film had a lot going for it. First, it was coming off the wave set by the previous Scary Movie which actually was funny. Too bad this one just fell over. The acting is terrible, although Craig Bierko makes a passable Tom Cruise and does a much better job of falling apart then Cruise did in War of the Worlds. And I also have to admit that the creatures and Tripods here seemed a bit better then the ones in WoW.

Plus there was a great take off on Brokeback Mountain with Anthony Anderson (an incredibly undelooked actor in my opinion) and another with Dr. Phil. Outside of that, this film was best summed up by the actions of Carmen Electra when she thinks she is in the bathroom. Crap.

This thing was almost insulting in it's lack of humor. Where Scary Movie 3 was fun this thing just fell apart like a house of cards after a strong wind.

Come on Zucker and Abrahams, you guys have given us some of the funniest stuff in history. Police Squad, Airplane, Top Secret just to name a few. Either get back on the pony and ride like you are supposed to or do documentaries. The Scary Movie franchise after this is dead.

It will take a lot more then Doctor Frankenstein to bring it back to life.

Anthony Anderson and Kevin Hart were the only thing about this film worth watching. And I can wait for the Showtime version to see that.
