HERO SQUARED
#3Okay, the basic premise is there's this guy named Captain Valor whose dimension
is destroyed by his archenemy, who used to be his girlfriend. Captain Valor
manages to make it to a dimension a lot like ours and
discoves that he has a doppelganger. Of course, Milo is anything but a superhero
and he has littlerevernce for a guy
whos
comic adventures he used to read as a kid.
There are times that I love Giffen and DeMatteis. This is one of those times.
We get the great dialogue theyare both famous for and the art is very nice.
I do think that Milo is an immature idiot who needs to
go back to the girlfriend who is waaay too hot for him. And it is funny how
he keeps referring to CaptainValor as Eustace. (Methinks that someone has watched
one too many episodes of Courage, The Cowardly Dog)
I'm a sucker for the classic tales of super heroes of yesteryear and the comedy
makes it that much better.
This is one that I would actually be willing to spend my hard earned cash on.
Good job, gentlemen.
