BATTLE STAR GALACTICA

Ooookayy! Seems that there's this remake of one of my fond childhood memories on the Sci Fi Channel and everyone is hooting and hollering about it. I do not like remakes. The last one I truly appreciated would have had to be John Carpenter's THE THING. A remake of THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD by Howard Hawks for the cretins in the audience. I liked the cheesiness of The Cylons and how they came across as humanoid Daleks. I liked Lorne Greene leading the wagon train … um; I mean fleet of space ships towards Earth. (Sorry, Bonanza moment) It was cheesy fun and I watched as much of it as I could get my hands on. Do I watch it now? Noooooo. My memories are probably tainted with age and a little dementia so I prefer to keep it that way. Do I need to see the new series? See the above for your answer to that. So, the comic really didn't have much of a chance with me. I read them and they were duller than Aquaman comics from the 70's. Almost nodded off just typing that last sentence. So, I do not think I'm the market for this particular comic. I leave this one to the mindless automatons that droll over each new episode like it was…well, something good. Sorry
