If the movie looked as good as the cards did, it would have been great.
Which is a shame, since the film did have potential. The potential that Inkworks found in fact in their new set.
Released in time for the movie, the 72-card series has some of the best shots from the film, with the added attraction that you did not have to actually watch the movie to enjoy the cards.
The base set is 72 and an additional set of Pieceworks cards (I got a piece of Sharon Stones costume); a Fearless subset of 9 foil puzzle cards, and the Cat Vision subset of 6 cards with Halle Berry as Catwoman with her 'Cat-I-tude".
Which is actually sexy in it's own way, far and above what the movie demonstrated. There is also a set of autographs available, with one to each box. I wanted the Alex Borstein (Sally) autograph, but didn't get it. I think she is cute. And in some ways stole the film away from Berry. Not a good sign.
Anyway, the cards are in the stores now, and are a major improvement over the movie at least as far as I am concerned. And I am a Halle Berry fan.
The only thing the Inkworks could have done to make this a better set would have been to create a special "Watch Her Walk" card showing Catwoman doing her strut. I would have paid extra for that card.
