In just seven pages it sets out to retell the life and times of Hunter Rose as Grendel, rendering all the previous stories in prose right up to the last page which will kick you in the shins and run off laughing. Excellent work. Along with tales of Grendel fighting Argent, taking down various mob bosses and even showing how a good doctor can get involved in a situation that is beyond themselves, the stories in this book add up to a lot of history and fun in the life of Hunter Rose and Grendel. From Andy Kuhn story, the "Devil's Assumption", showing Grendel beginning to gain power to a final battle between Argent and Grendel the stories here give the reader a very good look into the life and career of one of Comic most long lasting independent characters.
