NEW COMPUTER MAGAZINE FOR THE MACINTOSH IS FIRST CLASS
With four issues under its belt, MAC Addict is proving to be the best thing for the Mac reader since the Mac's for Dummies Books.
Its articles are concise, to the point and straightforward. The editorials are honest and seldom pull punches as far as I have see.
The CD-rom included with each issue is jam packed with shareware, previews, games, demos and other junk that it can take several hours to get through it all.
And is the disc easy to use? Well, lets put it this way...standard installation on a Windows 3.x for any CD: 1.Insert disc into CD ROM. 2. Select run from the file menu in Program Manager. 3. Type D:\Setup <enter> (always remembering to substitute whatever letter you need for your drive) 4: Follow the prompts for instruction.
Ok. Now for Windows 95, it is a little easier... 1. Insert CD in CD rom drive. 2. Press start button, select run. 3. Type D:\Setup <enter> (always remembering to substitute whatever letter you need for your drive). 4. Follow the prompt of the setup program.
Standard installation for most MAC disc's (including MAC Addict's monthly disc) 1. Insert CD in drive. 2. Click on icon on screen. 3. Have fun.
Waaaitt a minit here! No extra typing to tell your computer where to look, or what to do? Just put it in and do it? Sorta reminds you of something else fun, huh?
Yeah, MAC's are soooo hard to use. Snicker, snicker, snort chuckle. Maybe these guys at MAC Addict have the right idea.
Information on Mac clones, software and hardware reviews, Guy Kawasaki articles and lots of tips and hints. This is a very good mag. Fun, entertaining and loaded with lots of stuff to do with that old IBM.
